Golfing Under the Midnight Sun
Here, golf is liberated from the constraints of the lower 48. With nearly 20 hours of daylight in the height of summer, a 9:00pm tee time isn’t a dream — it’s a Tuesday. Against a backdrop of jagged peaks and glacial rivers, our courses offer a unique blend of professional-grade play and raw Alaskan beauty.
Whether you are looking for the manicured precision of a championship course or a casual par-3 afternoon, golfing in the Valley is a sensory experience. In The Mat-Su, the fairways are wide, the air is crisp, and the hazards often have antlers.
What to Expect
Much like our Mat-Su grown giant cabbages, our turf thrives in the rich, silty soil of the Valley, providing resilient and lush playing surfaces throughout the summer season. During June and July, the sun barely dips below the horizon. This allows for incredibly flexible scheduling, making golf the perfect capstone to a day of hiking or glacier trekking. It is not uncommon to share the green with a resident moose or a family of sandhill cranes. In The Mat-Su, we play around the local wildlife.
