An alpine lake, a historic miner’s cabin, and wildlife such as pikas are features of this Hatcher Pass hike. The lower part of the trail winds gradually uphill over tundra, then switchbacks up a rocky face before arriving at the gorgeous gem of Gold Cord Lake. Mountain vistas surround us on this adventure. We’ll explore around the lake as time allows, then head back and enjoy hot drinks at the trailhead.
