Join us for an Aurora & Pizza Painting Party at Independence Mine in Hatcher Pass, co-hosted by the Palmer Museum of History and Art. Enjoy a unique evening of guided painting, homemade personal pizzas, and the possibility of watching the Northern Lights dance across Alaska’s night sky. Stay warm inside a heated tent as you explore painting techniques with instruction from the museum, create your own painted piece, and enjoy a freshly prepared by you personal pizza cooked on-site in our portable pizza oven. Made with ingredients you choose and prepared under Alaska Cottage Food Laws, these pizzas bring a little extra warmth and flavor to an evening spent in the Alaskan wilderness.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced painter, this three-hour experience offers a welcoming opportunity to get creative, connect with others, and enjoy the beauty of Hatcher Pass after dark. If conditions cooperate, you may even catch a glimpse of the Aurora!
